David Baudoin and I had the extreme privilege of having lunch with Governor Bobby Jindal today. Along with about eighteen other pastors from around Louisiana we met with Governor Jindal at the Governor's Mansion and prayed with him and shared our thoughts and concerns about our state and the nation as well.
As always, the Governor was warm and inviting and easy to talk to. He laughed with us, prayed with us and made us feel very welcome. It was SO refreshing to hear the man who occupies the highest seat of power in our state talk openly about his faith in Christ and his concern for the unborn and for the plight of the American family: especially marriage as it is defined between one man and one woman for a lifetime.
David and I both were struck with the notion that we may have just sat down to lunch with the next president of the United States! Remember, the Bible says we should pray for our leaders and those in authority!

ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Gov. Jindal was raised Catholic but shares openly about his personal faith in Christ. I believe he has a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and I have been very encouraged by how that relationship has shaped his worldview and leadership.
