Sermon Material

Yesterday Robin and four of her friends were in a terrible accident. A woman pulled out right in front of Robin's vehicle and caused it to flip over, landing upside down. Miraculously, none of the girls were seriously injured. Everyone from the policeman who filed the report to the paramedic with the ambulance to the attending physician at the emergency room stressed how fortunate we were that the girls weren't more seriously injured. The paramedic told me almost all accidents involving a roll-over include dismemberment if not death.

We know the hand of God was on Robin and her friends, protecting them from what have could been a tragic situation. It is amazing that one person could climb out of that banged up SUV unscathed, but for all five of them to escape serious injury is absolutely miraculous! Were angels on assignment yesterday? You be they were! It seems the worst that will come out of this is a few scrapes and bruises (Robin got five stitches for a laceration on her forehead) and a new car - I'm afraid her little Ford Escape is totaled. At the emergency room she asked me, "Dad will this make it into one of your sermons?" A few hours later it did.

  3. Pastor Jeff,

We are in agreement with you in thanking God for the miracle that happened with your daughter's car accident. We were right there with you last night during your sermon. We could feel the heart ache only a father could feel for his daughter. But most important, for lost souls. We are so blessed to have a pastor that delivers raw messages from God week after week after week. You don't hold anything back and never apologize for telling us what God has given you to deliver.

I appreciate you as a pastor and as a person, just like us. Never putting yourself above others. Very humble.

I wrote a blog entry about speeding and driving in general last week but did not post it yet. I read about an accident that really shook me. With your daughter's accident I am going to be even more careful. I think God is sending me a message about what defensive driving really is!! Praise God for the angel's protecting your daughter and her friends from harm.

Thank you again for you and for sharing with us God's message!

I have had problems with the pc but I think I finally have it working. However, I have misplaced your address so please resend it and I will get this in the mail. Thanks. And praising God for keeping His protecting hand on those girls.

I fully understand what you and Donna are going through...all the emotions....as both of my children were in car accidents as teens. Again, I'm glad everyone is okay....I pray God's complete healing over Robin and her friends.

  20. Everything we as humans are taught to do, is to measure. Measure time, space, weight and so on.
We even measure how long and how much we can protect our children. I am ever so thankful God does not measure. He is an everpresent help and protector. We are so very grateful to God for his protection upon each and everyone of those young ladies.
